International Distribution Solutions is both an International Forwarder offering Import, Export, and customs services for Airfreight, Seafreight, and Courier shipments, as well as a third party logistics provider.

The company started in New Zealand in 1998, with a small warehouse in Penrose. We were an all female office then, with all three of us having moved from TNT International, when it was sold.

The warehouse quickly became too small, with the move to 20 Ascot Road coming in October of 2000.

As freight forwarders we have agents in over 60 countries worldwide, who are able to offer Door to Door services in the most cost efficient method.

Our Warehousing and Distribution operates in two warehouses, one which specializes in flatpack and hanging apparel, and apparel related items, and one which operates in a more general field, having customers in the following fields: Household Appliances, Giftware, Toiletries, Stereo Equipment, Chemicals, Paper Products, Point of Sale Material, and Stationary.

Our success is mainly due to our people, and the culture that we operate in. In a service industry the people that work for you are really the only commodity that you have to offer, and we are proud to say that we believe our people are among the very best in both the International Forwarding and Warehousing operations.

IDS is a relatively small player, however it is both cost competitive and offers a level of service that we believe is far beyond even your expectations.  Possibly this is because we are smaller and more personalized than many, that means that we are often the company who is hungrier to succeed than the others, and that perhaps is what makes the real difference.
